Tiffany Miller
Tiffany Miller has worked with American Fork for 26 years. She became the color guard director and the assistant visual coordinator from 2002-2015. She is also an AFHS alumni, where she was a member of the color guard. Tiffany came back to work with the American Fork color guard in 2017 and now returns as the director.
After high school, Tiffany was a member of the BYU Marching Band & Color Guard where she also was a choreographer. She started teaching the same year. She has taught at West Jordan, Jordan, Provo, Bountiful, Lone Peak, Mt. Crest, Timpview, and Westlake High School. Her first year as a director at Mt. Crest, her winter guard took 1st place at state championships. She was the director of the BYU Color Guard from 2008-2010.. She has been able to work with many drum corps throughout her teaching career which she has enjoyed and learned so much.
Tiffany started the independent guard Wasatch in 2008. She retired teaching them in 2015, but returned to staff in 2021. They competed in World Championships in 2022 and came in 6th place in the country.
During her time working with American Fork, the color guard has won several state championships in both fall and winter. She has been to Grand Nationals 5 times, been to the Macy’s Day Parade twice, the 2005 Inaugural Parade, as well as the Rose Parade. Two of the highlights of her teaching career was being with the American Fork winter guard at WGI in 2023 and making finals, and again in 2024 taking home the bronze medal! She loves teaching at American Fork and loves the members. She believes that they have made her a better person.
Tiffany has been married to Dusty for 20 years. They have 4 children – Jack (former AF band member, current staff member, and a 2 time world champion Blue Devil), Bree (former AF guard member and staff for the cadet guard), Myles (current AF band member), and Leo (upcoming AF band member). Besides her family, her favorite things are Disneyland, Diet Coke, spending time with her friends, and traveling the world with her husband.
