McKayla Wolf
Ms. Wolf hails from Farmington, Utah. She attended Davis High School in Davis, Utah. Her experiences at Davis High, including participation in prestigious events like the Tournament of Roses Parade and performances at the UMEA Midwinter Conference. Following her time at Davis she attend the University of Utah.
McKayla's passion for music flourished during her undergraduate years at the University of Utah, where she was actively involved in various musical ensembles and leadership roles. Her experiences ranged from performing in the Wind Ensemble and Campus Symphony to serving as the Piccolo Section Leader for the Marching Utes. Beyond performance, she demonstrated leadership as the Chair of the Undergraduate Student Advisory Committee for the School of Music and as the Professional Development Chair for the CNAfME Chapter.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, McKayla holds significant positions in the broader music community. She serves as the UMEA Allstate Symphonic Band Manager and as the Vice President of Education and Outreach for the Utah Wind Symphony, showcasing her commitment to music education and community engagement.
Her dedication to music education is deeply rooted, with both of her parents being junior high band directors in Utah. Interestingly, McKayla's connection to American Fork, Utah, runs deep, she was born in AF and her mother previously served as the Director of Bands at AFJH. Ms. Wolf's return to American Fork High School in 2022, this time as part of the woodwind staff for the Marching Band, reflects her ongoing commitment to her roots and to nurturing young musicians in her community. She aims to inspire the next generation of musicians and contribute to the ongoing success of American Fork Junior High's music program.
