Richard Flores

Richard began playing the piaon at the age of 8, then learned the clarinet and bassoon a few years after. While attending American Fork High School he competed with the marching band from 2005-2009, serving as Drum Major from 2007-2009, and was also a member of the Wind Symphony and All-State Orchestra. He was the recipient of the 2010 John Phillip Sousa Award, and was with the band when they received the Sudler Shield. Richard served an LDS mission to London, England and currently attends BYU where he studies economics and business strategy. At BYU he has performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Quintessential Woodwind Quintet, Men's Chorus, and in 2010 he toured China with the Chamber Orchestra. Richard has been on the AFHS marching band staff for three years working with drum majors, student leadership, and visual technique.
