Korynn FINK
After being raised in Austin, Texas for most of her life, Korynn Fink moved to Salt lake City in 2016 to attend the University of Utah where she is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education through the University of Utah Honors Program.
Korynn has been playing the French Horn since the 6th grade studying under Christopher Pickens for 7 years and Steven Proser from then until the present. She has been a member of the University of Utah Wind Ensemble for a year.
Her marching career started at Vandegrift High School in Austin where she played Mellophone. During her time there the band won the 2013 4A Texas State Marching Band Championship, and the silver medal of the 2015 5A Texas State Marching Band Championships. While there, Korynn held several leadership positions including Mellophone Section Leader and Drill Instructor while playing lead mellophone for three years. She is currently the Mellophone Section Leader in the University of Utah Marching Band and is entering her second year with that ensemble. She has won multiple awards between the two programs.
Korynn Fink began working with American Fork in 2017 and is extremely grateful for the welcome she has received into the program. She has been able to explore and share her passion for teaching and music, reaffirming her belief that music education enriches lives in a special way. She credits marching band with a lot of her life lessons in hard work, teamwork, dedication, leadership and passion which she hopes to share with the students she teaches.
