Michelle Clements journey with the American Fork Color Guard began all the way back in 2005, during her first year at American Fork Junior High School! Born and raised in American Fork, she proudly followed in her mother’s footsteps—she too was a member of the legendary American Fork Marching Band and Color Guard. Inspired by her legacy, Michelle joined the program and never looked back.
Michelle spent five unforgettable years in the American Fork Color Guard through high school, graduating as part of the proud “Greatest Generation” marching show. After high school, she continued her color guard career with Wasatch Independent, where she performed until aging out of the program.
Staying close to the activity she loves, she began teaching at Westlake High School in 2020. Over four incredible years, she helped grow the program and, in 2023, as Director led the JV team to earn the highest recorded score ever awarded by the Utah Color Guard Circuit for Scholastic Regional A — an unforgettable achievement.
In 2024, she returned to her hometown roots as Assistant Director of the AFHS Color Guard, during what became one of their most consistently successful seasons to date. Now, as Director of the program, she couldn’t be more thrilled! It’s been a beautiful full-circle moment, and she's beyond excited to continue building the legacy of excellence here at American Fork.
Proud to be a Caveman—then, now, and always!
